Coaching Foundation courses in the New Year

Some great courses coming up in the New Year c/o the Scottish Orienteering Association, including a one day Coaching Foundation course. Ideal if you want to find out if coaching is for you and you want to start helping out alongside licensed coaches but also great for improving your own skills! Courses will take place on 13 February and 2 April. Club members who've been on the course would be happy to talk to you about their experience. Free to members. Whether a club member or working within schools, scouts or other youth groups the Scottish Orienteering Assocation runs a programme of regular courses for those wanting to teach or coach orienteering.

  

Third session in our family coaching series

The third session in our block of family coaching took place this evening in the grounds of the Hilton Hotel Dunkeld, an area with a complex path network. Well done to everyone for staying focused and in touch with the map!

The second of our family coaching sessions took place yesterday on St Magdalene's Hill. Thanks to everyone who turned up so enthusiastic to learn and to club volunteers who helped with marshalling and coaching.

Tay family coaching day

Tayside Orienteers had a packed programme last weekend, with two coaching events taking place in Perth, and a change in focus from the recent series of competitive Scottish league events.
