Club Training Sessions to July 2023

The following are the dates and details of Tayside training sessions 2023.

TAY   TRAINING          Spring 2023        

 

Each session will be 1.5 hrs duration, allowing time for coffee afterwards.  

Contact Club Captain, Grant Carstairs, in advance of each session, to reserve a map/place.  Email: .

 

March 28 7pm    Social club run of approx. 4.5kms through Methven Wood.  Terrain consisting of mixed farm tracks and woodland trails on Core Paths.  Meet Almondbank main street.

April 11 7pm    St Mags Bench O.   Using surplus Xmas Score maps, participants will locate benches & seats in the woodland park area, north of the motorway.    Meet St Mags Car Park.

April 25 7pm    Introduction to Nordic Walking, part 1. North Inch Perth. Fran is a qualified NW Instructor and will show us the ropes of this form of all-round exercise.   Poles provided

 

May 9 7pm    Reverse Middle Distance Control Picking.  Using surplus maps of Kinnoull from last year’s Middle Distance event, we’ll use a 2.5km course.  Meet Quarry car park.

May 23 7pm    Introduction to Nordic Walking, part 2. South Inch Perth.  A more strenuous follow-up to the April 25 session. Poles provided. Meet by Skatepark

June 6 7pm    Map Run Score Event, Crieff. Organised by Maire. Meet tba

 

June 20 7pm    Evening Run with Map Memory training.  Little Glenshee.  Meet in parking area.

 

July 4 7pm    Relocation in the forest, Comrie West. Meet School Road Car Park
