Thanks to everyone who joined in the Halloween fun and sorry to have missed those who had to pull out last minute for whatever reason.  We had a ball with some 40 people taking part - 27 units.

A huge thanks to Rob Bell for letting us use the Pavilion Cafe and for delicious soup and stovies. Thanks to: Jane Anderson who did the computing side as well as helping put out controls; Grant Carstairs for helping plan courses, put out controls, tape the hazards and collect in controls; Fiona Downie, Anita Spurway and Cara Wishart for ghost, witchly and fancy dress duties and general assistance. Thanks also to other control collectors in Colin, David and Cathy and Tay members for general assistance and support.

The winner for the Short Course was Alick Spurway. Well done to the 4 Junior Harriers led by Fergus Mardon who took the lead on the long course.

Remember that there were 30 points for fancy dress, and meeting a witch and a ghost.

On the results 188=fancy dress, 170= witch and 186=ghost. There was also a time penalty of 20 points for every minute or part of a minute late after the time limit....

Some people who were in early thought they had everything but if you check results you will see this is not quite the case!

If you enjoyed last night - there are more opportunities coming up locally to orienteer. Great chance to improve your map reading and avoid ending up like this pair..

Next week Thursday 7th November 6:30pm-8pm is the final night time coaching session from Laggan Park Pavillion, Comrie. More night time fun so bring a headtorch!! Sign up here

After that there is orienteering Sunday 17th November at Loch Ordie near Dunkeld  and Sunday 8th December at Drummond Castle by Muthill . Check out  www.taysideorienteers.co.uk  for more information.

Orienteering is a great way for all the family to get out, do something active and have a challenge at their own level.

Look forward to seeing you again somewhere...
