Goodbye from TAY CDO

Club Development Officer contract ends

It's time to say goodbye to Mel Nicoll, Club Development Officer - but club development remains a priority.

Mel Nicoll finishes her contract as TAY Club Development Officer with Scottish Orienteering on 31 August. We have been so lucky to have the dedicated resources of a CDO for a day a week this past year.  Membership numbers have grown steadily, the club's long term aspiration to have regular monthly training sessions has been achieved, coaching opportunities have increased and we have more coaches!  Promotional activities and a big effort with social media and to increase our online presence have helped to raise the profile of the sport/club and attract new members to events and onto the mailing list. Mel would like to say a huge thanks to all club members, and most especially the hard-working committee and volunteers, for all their support and enthusiasm whilst she has been in post, also her colleagues at Scottish Orienteering. We look forward to working with the soon-to-be-appointed Regional Development Officer for Central/South Scotland to build on the work Mel and the committee have got underway.
