Funding secured for Strathearn Schools Development Project

We’re delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant from the Orienteering Foundation to support orienteering development work with schools and local communities in the Strathearn area in the lead in to the Scottish 6 Days 2019.

AGM report and new office bearers

The club’s Annual General Meeting was held on 18 October 2018 in Perth. Allan takes over as Chair, Davie continues as Secretary, Angela as Treasurer, all ably assisted by a committee comprising Alastair, Bill, Mike, Fiona and Moira.

We could all do with a bit of coaching to improve our orienteering skills, whether new to the sport or a seasoned veteran! We've now firmed up some dates for a new series of TAY coaching sessions, open to all club members.

Jamie Stevenson Trophy

Two TAY juniors represented the club at the Jamie Stevenson Trophy at Braemar at the weekend. The JST is an annual inter-club competition for junior orienteers in Scotland. 

  

See Dundee a new way!

Looking forward to welcoming you to our urban orienteering event on newly mapped Menzieshill on 8 July. Fast and intense navigation - a different set of skills from traditional orienteering but just as much fun! Menzieshill was mapped last year for the British Squad as a world training area. TAY has always aimed to respect and protect the personal data of all our members, noting that the vast majority of your orienteering relevant data is collected by British Orienteering or Scottish Orienteering and shared with appropriate and approved TAY members.
