JK Report

Easter event held in Perthshire this year..... Perth sprint on Friday, Rannoch - the two forest events on Saturday and Sunday, Tullochroist - ( foot of Scheihallion) for Sunday's relays.

The JK is named after the Swede Jan Kjellstrom, who came to the UK to help develop the sport in the 1960s but died 1967 in a car accident back in Sweden. He would be 85 now. That same year, the first JK Orienteering event was held.

Great to see TAY’ s very visible presence in many aspects of the planning and organisation, particularly Alistair (Planning Medium race), Angela (Organiser, Relays) and Clive (our Start Team Leader at Sprint), not to mention the effort of all Tay helpers throughout such a memorable weekend.
Congratulations as well, of course, to our competitive successes at the event itself, especially to the overall performances of Emma (1st), Chloe (1st), Finn (2nd), Euan (2nd), Rory (2nd), Fran (4th) and Carl (4th) plus new  comers Joseph Gane and Calum McBean. Calum finished 2nd on the first leg of the Ad Hoc relay.. Well Done all!
