Qualifying round Sun 11 March, Beecraigs
The qualifying round of the Compass Sport Cup will take place on Sunday 11 March at Beecraigs Country Park, near Linlithgow. This is the main UK inter-club orienteering competition, and is a great club experience for everyone from juniors to super veterans. Entries need to be made by 1 March to Alistair.
Just to confirm that a previously advertised event at St Magdalene's Hill, Perth has unfortunately had to be cancelled.
Launch of new permanent course
Representatives from local youth groups gathered on Kinnoull Hill in Perth on 28 January to try their hand at orienteering. This was the final stage in a joint project between Tay Landscape Partnership and local orienteering club Tayside Orienteers.
We are very sorry to have had to postpone this event due to very wet conditions and felling in part of the forest. The hope is to have it later in the year.

We were delighted to present Club Coach Moira with the annual Tayside Orienteers' championship trophy at our Christmas event at Blackspout on Sunday. The points system recognises and rewards both participation in the sport and volunteering. Moira's win is richly deserved for all the time she puts in to helping the club, in particular to encourage and support those new to the sport and developing their orienteering skills - as well as still finding time to orienteer for herself! Congratulations Moira from your fellow club members.
