Celebrating World Orienteering Day

First outing for our new Riverside Park map

Great time last night marking World Orienteering Day with an evening activity at Riverside Park in Perth, on our lovely new map. Fantastic to welcome some new faces trying out orienteering for the first time and with great enthusiasm.

Huge thanks to Angela for her work in planning the course, to Mel for the flags and questions at the controls and to everyone who helped with administration, looking after the beginners and clearing up afterwards.

There are no results as such but the total points ranged from 18 to the maximum of 23 for all controls visited (well done to those purists who did them in order, even though it was a Score event!), from 48:54 mins to a very speedy 17:28 mins for total time taken and from 13 to an impressive 20 out of a possible 23 for the quiz.
