Coaching day is a big success

Great coaching session (17th June) at Craig a Barns, Dunkeld.  16 TAY members and friends had a lot of fun practising contour skills, using the area's plentiful supply of re-entrants, knolls, crags and slopes.  The juniors had plenty of competition as they followed a mix of line features, including walls, fences and electricity lines to find their controls.  Thanks to the dry weather, crossing marshes without getting wet feet was a luxury!
With the option of doing a score course to finish, everyone agreed it had been a useful and fun session.
Thanks to Alistair for planning the courses, to Chloe for supervising the beginners, and to everyone for helping to collect controls and share transport.  Grateful thanks to ESOC for the use of their map, and to Atholl Estates for permission to use the area.  We'll definitely be back!"
