Elaine wins British veterans title.

Success for Elaine Gillies last weekend at the Lowther event gave her a British mountain marathon title.

After the final event in the British Mountain Marathon Championship last weekend, TAY member Elaine Gillies was crowned the:
 'Veteran Women's Medium Score Champion'.
The series was based on the best 2 results from 3 events:
Marmot Dark Mountains - an 11 hour overnight event held in the Northern Lakes in January.
The Scottish Mountain Marathon, a 2 day event held in June at Attadale in Wester Ross. (This replaces the long running Lowe Alpine sponsored event aka The LAMM)
The ROC Mountain Marathon, a 2 day event held last weekend in the Lowther Hills in Southern Scotland.
Elaine was a clear winner in the Vet's category with two 1st places, and was also 2nd overall in the Open category.
All of the events were score based navigational courses, collecting as many points as possible within a fixed time.
TAY members Stewart Reid and Davie Frame also participated and were ranked in the championship.
