Highland 2015 and World Orienteering Championships

Whirlwind of a week!

Club members have returned from a hectic week in the Highlands taking part in the Scottish 6 Days orienteering event, with the added excitement of spectacting at the World Orienteering Championships which ran alongside this.

Around 30 members took part in the competitions that ran last week, with high standards across the various age classes thanks to a record-breaking entry of nearly 6000 orienteers from all round the world. It was an incredible experience, especially for those who had not experienced this scale of event before. Individual day and overall results are available here The club was also part of the organising team for Day 6. Huge thanks to everyone who took on a role - members, family and friends - and particularly to Elaine for her massive contribution as joint Day Organiser. For a full flavour of the week's activities, including lots of pictures, head over to our Facebook page - you don't need to be on Facebook to view the pictures. Roll on Deeside 2017!
