Jamie Stevenson Trophy Event

Promising performances from TAY juniors

Fantastic performances from our two juniors Craig and Charlotte who competed in yesterday’s Jamie Stevenson Trophy Event, Scotland's best and most competitive junior event.

The event took place on Perth’s Kinnoull Hill, with more than 150 juniors from 12 clubs taking part. Craig was running at Light Green standard for the first time, challenge enough without the added pressures of competing at this level. Charlotte, our newest recruit, is an accomplished cross country runner, and had only run a couple of orienteering courses before this competition but still managed to come third on the Yellow course. Congratulations to MAROC who narrowly held off the challenges of the rest of the Scottish clubs to retain the Trophy.

Ten TAY adult members took advantage of the opportunity to run the courses after the junior competition had ended, with varying degrees of success owing to the intricacies of the Kinnoull Hill path network!

Results for both juniors and adult competitions.
