Happy Christmas and New Year!

Here's to a great festive break and looking forward to lots of excellent orienteering in 2018, kicking off with monthly training on Wednesday 10 January in Perth. Want to get some training in before then? Check out the ROMP - controls currently out at Achlean - more info here

Final result of club championship

We were delighted to present Club Coach Moira with the annual Tayside Orienteers' championship trophy at our Christmas event at Blackspout on Sunday. The points system recognises and rewards both participation in the sport and volunteering. Moira's win is richly deserved for all the time she puts in to helping the club, in particular to encourage and support those new to the sport and developing their orienteering skills - as well as still finding time to orienteer for herself! Congratulations Moira from your fellow club members.

The cake

For those that didn't see (and didn't get to eat!) our fabulous birthday cake at our recent event at Kinnoull!

Book now for our Christmas event

Entries now open for our Christmas Score event at Blackspout, Pitlochry on Sunday 10 December. See "Events" list for link to online entries - or contact us if you can't enter online. Don't forget to let us know if you want to stay on for a festive lunch at the Atholl Palace Hotel. Pic shows last year's event at Drummond.

Happy Birthday TAY!

Thanks to everyone involved in putting on and supporting our 30th Birthday event at Kinnoull on 5 November. And thanks for coming to share the day with us - the sun shone, drawing 160 of you out to help us celebrate! We hope you enjoyed the chance to run on our brand new map - generously supported by the Tay Landscape Partnership - and also the cake!

Event Safety Workshop

Final call!

Wednesday 20 September, Perth. This workshop, run by Scottish Orienteering, will go over everything we need to think about from a safety point of view when organising and planning events.

Coaching sessions

First come, first served!

Bookings are now open for our autumn coaching sessions - two Saturday afternoons 18th and 25th November.

Club Championship Points

Still time to add to your score!

With four more local club events still to take place this year there is plenty of opportunity to move up the standings in the club league table! Five easy points if you help out at an event so even if not fully fit there is a chance to improve without a lot of physical effort!

Additional events locally this autumn

Two further fantastic opportunities for orienteering in our area this autumn - 1 Oct Score/Colour-coded event courtesy of STAG on a new area at Grandtully (Aberfeldy) and 29 Oct Scottish League event at Drummond Hill, Kenmore.
