"Thanks to everyone, Tay members, those from other clubs and newcomers, for coming along to our event today and I hope you all enjoyed it. We were certainly lucky with the weather, and it was good to see people out exploring in a nice part of Perth which doesn't get used very often for orienteering. Hopefully we got the courses more or less right, and you found them challenging enough, and for those of you new to the sport it gave you a good introduction to what orienteering is all about.
We are grateful to Perth and Kinross Council for permission to use the area, and to Jeanfield Swifts football club for their support with the parking.
Particular thanks are due to the many members who kindly volunteered their time to help get the event together. First of all to to Finn for co-planning, helping to put out controls and coordinating the control collecting and overseeing the starts. Also Barry and Carl for helping with setting up and control collecting- great to see our juniors taking such an active role in putting on these events. Lindsay and Moira ran a great coaching and welcoming session for newcomers, and also gave lots of practical help with setting up and running the starts and collecting in the the equipment afterwards. Thanks also to Clive for control collecting and to Paul Caban from Interlopers for his unexpected late arrival to offer help with collecting controls. All very much appreciated, many hands really does make light work.
Results are now up on the website, please let us know if you spot any errors. Some great results there, and good to see some close competitions across all the courses. Well done to everyone. Our next event will be in 2 weeks time on Saturday the 9th of March at St Magdalene's Hill in Perth, and we look forward to welcoming you back then. Tayside Xmas Score and Dinner

Xmas Dinner at Dunkeld Golf Course is open to everyone. You have to book it and pay of course. Menu orders by 1st December.
