The Jamie Stevenson Trophy, the annual inter-club orienteering event for junior teams from Scottish clubs, returned again this year to Perth's Kinnoull Hill.
Report from Club Coach Moira:- A big thank you to all those who came to our joint coaching session and event at Crieff today, in spite of heavy showers in the afternoon. Special thanks to Alistair and his new planning assistant, Stuart, for designing the courses, including the challenging "Norwegian" one; to Anne and Mike for volunteering for and taking on the role of organisers for the first time; to Finlay for help with set-up and dismantling, and volunteering to brave the rain to bring in all the training kites; to John for support with computing; to Fiona for organising car parking, and to Chris for his cheerful help with (wet!) tent dismantling and packing. Hopefully the coaching group will be more confident after their intensive session on compass work - they certainly put in a great effort afterwards going round the courses. Looking forward to seeing the updated club Championship points!) in due course.
Fantastic to see so many families out enjoying themselves on yet another gloriously sunny day. Thanks to Moira and Alistair for organising a superb coaching session then to Alistair, Aly, Donald and Elaine for planning and organising the event.
TAY put on a local event over the Easter weekend for those orienteers who were not travelling to the Jan Kjellstrom International Festival of Orienteering.
